She goes stir crazy being cooped up but I swear every time we take her to an indoor playground/museum she ends up sick! no matter how much hand washing, ect. we do while we are there. It's a hard choice. But this winter has been better. We get out hiking every week and LO loves to play in the snow. But it's been really warm lately, like in the 40s and 50s. Winter is our time to play, and summer we get stuck indoors. Some weeks it can stay close to 100 all day and night and isn't feasible to play outside much at all. When there are long rain jags we can get a little stir crazy but usually there are enough breaks and it's temperate enough not to be bad once we survive mid November through mid January. He's been sick most of the past month. And when he hasn't been sick, the rest of the family has. This has been our most brutal winter yet in terms of sickness.</p> <p>Also his behavior is worse in the winter when we're home way more and he gets way less exercise. When we're out and about doing things, everyone is happier. And I get more depressed in the winter too. No wonder people move to warm weather areas! I got perfect attendance awards in elementary school because you don't get sick in southern california!</p> <p>Is parenting way harder in the winter for you? Spring can't come fast enough, but I bet it'll be cold until May. Womp womp. :crying: </p>
