I've heard the same 1-1.5 oz per hour. Until they are really good at solids

My son always took 3 oz bottles every 3 hours, and my daughter's on track to do the same. For my son, we did bump him up to 4 oz bottles when he was about 5 months old - when they're moving around a lot more but not quite ready for solids. Then we bumped it back down after intro'ing solid food.

I read that your milk changes in content as your baby grows to accommodate his/her needs, so they technically can drink the same amount the whole time they BF.

DD has drank between 3-5 oz every 3-4 hours since 3 months when I went back to work and she's now 6 months.

Supposedly, what they drink at 1 month is the same as what they drink at 6 months. The milk just gets fattier as they get older.

Both kids drank 5 oz bottles every 3 hours, though when I've done weighted feeds, they generally don't eat as much directly from the breast.

Yea, my kids never followed the ounce per hour thing except maybe when they were 1 or 2 months old! I think when I went back to work about 3 months for each of them they were eating 4-5 oz every 3 hours. DS wouldn't alway make it to 3 hrs. Around 6 months it was probably 5-6 oz every 3 hrs unless they had a meal in between bottles too.

At 4 months we went from 4 to 4.5 ounces, although sometimes it's closer to 4 still depending on what I pump the day before. She takes 4 bottles during the day from about 8:30 to 4.

At daycare she would get 5oz bottles around that old. Sometimes she would drink the whole thing and sometimes she would drink 3ish oz

My baby has always been a snacker-- for for daycare I usually packed 3 oz bottles of breastmilk and 5 oz bottles of formula (I supplemented and so didn't care if the formula got wasted; she usually drank btw 3-5 oz at a time)

My breastfed baby took 2 oz bottles from my mom for the longest time (short babysitting stints, not FT). She's almost 5 months now and I'm wondering if the same rule goes - she nurses every 2 hours or so still but no idea if she's getting more or will be hungrier after 2 oz.

How big of a bottle did you leave your breastfed baby around 5 months, if you would be gone a couple hours?
