For my son, we did bump him up to 4 oz bottles when he was about 5 months old - when they're moving around a lot more but not quite ready for solids. I think when I went back to work about 3 months for each of them they were eating 4-5 oz every 3 hours. DS wouldn't alway make it to 3 hrs. She's almost 5 months now and I'm wondering if the same rule goes - she nurses every 2 hours or so still but no idea if she's getting more or will be hungrier after 2 oz. </p> <p>How big of a bottle did you leave your breastfed baby around 5 months, if you would be gone a couple hours? </p>
