I would definitely get at least the small size, PreK is too small. If your LO needs to carry any folders or binders, I would go with the large. My DD was gifted a rolling pbk backpack and for something so big and heavy, there really isn't a lot of space inside. I actually just ordered a backpack from LON to replace the pbk one.
