I have bleached, lysoled, sun dried that thing so many times. It contains the smell really well since once we open it, it's like OMG!! DEATH!!! haha! The trash can itself doesn't stink. Only other steel trashcan we have is our main trash can in the kitchen, and it's HUGE. I'm thinking about getting an Ubbi, but I wonder if they're any better than just a regular steel trash can? What's the open/close mechanism like? Do you think it holds in smell better than a standard trash can? </p>
