Same here :(
We went from 1 wake up around 2am, to 1 really long super fussy wake up. It seriously lasts 1-2 hours and she cries and screams the whole time. I have this sleeping thing all screwed up, she won't sleep unless I'm holding her and it sucks.

@lawbee11: oh I know, it's terrible. I don't see and don't really feel any teeth. Which is so frustrating because he will get super fussy and rosy cheeked and drooly! It's so hard to know if it's actually teething or if... He's just a baby! LOL

@Foodnerd81: Ugh....when are they going to be sleep twins and start STTN together??

@.twist.: Teething is such a mind f*ck. I considered teething, but I don't see any teeth about to pop through (though it's hard to see anything with her tongue out all the time!) and when I feel around in her mouth it doesn't feel like any are about to come in.

@googly-eyes: No, I agree with you. She's been doing all sorts of new things lately, so I'm sure it's developmental.

There was for us but we traveled for a significant time when lo was six months old so it could have been that.

My opinion on sleep regressions is that there doesn't have to be "a" x month regression... they all develop at their own pace and I *think* regressions are development related... Just my opinion, I am certainly no expert!!

L dropped his 3rd nap around the 6 month mark. It was a sad couple days. I just re-sleep trained because our sleep got terrible. I was wondering about a 6 month regression too, or maybe teething? Ugh. Sleep trouble sucks!

Sleep twins again. C has been sleeping like crap. And we were trying the TT weaning off the first feeding which pretty much ends up with her crying, rocking, crying, and finally me feeding her again an hour later. I officially declared defeat on that one last night at 3 am.

So I'm gonna say yes there is a sleep regression in addition to a growth spurt. And teething. Pretty much anything that will make my sweet little baby a monster.

Oh that' is tough!!! About a month ago L started saying mama, dada, all done, and up when he cried in the MOTN/for naps--it is SO much harder when they are more aware!

@hilsy85: Yeah, the TT method hasn't really been working so far. I'm going to give it a couple more nights, but I think we're going to end up doing Ferber. M recently started stringing consonants together so she cries "mama" now in the middle of the night over and over again. I know she doesn't know that I'm mama, but it breaks my heart :( DH is going to have to be in charge of sleep training.

I don't know the answer, but based on K's sleep patterns, I'm willing to say yes.
She's started waking up half hour after she goes to sleep, plus usually 2 night wakings.
We've also had nap-fighting. I want to get her to drop a nap, but she has to start sleeping more than 1/2 hour at a time first!

she might be getting ready to drop to 2 naps! That technique never worked for us either though...we had to use ferber to drop to one night waking.

I think there are 4 month, 6 month, 9 month, 12 month AND 18 month regressions. Fun times :)

Ugh. I hate that I'm writing about sleep woes again. M has been having 2 night wakings for the past month and a half (once around 1am and again around 4am). It wasn't great, but it was my new normal and I was used to it. The past few nights she's had an additional wakeup around 11.

For the last week I've been trying to wean her from the first wakeup using a technique I found on troublesome tots (reducing length of nursing session by 1 minute every 2 days). Well this regression is totally throwing that off. She's also been fighting her third nap.

I feel like I'm never going to get 4+ hours of consecutive sleep again :crying:
