I hate guns. If he wants one, he can (and does) make them out of legos. As for the lightsabers, they're way too big and long and I know he'd smack his brother (on purpose) or sister (accidentally) with it. He does have the tiny, soft lightsabers from build-a-bear. That was the way we've avoided the big ones. </p>
