Thanks everyone. I’m actually not in a huge rush to get started again, I guess two losses in a row is more discouraging than I’d anticipated. I’m more curious than anything, but I think I’ll wait for two weeks to get blood work done, especially if things will likely slow down a lot.

Mine dropped fairly quickly but took forever getting to zero. It was an even bigger ordeal bc my husband started a new job while this was happening and our new insurance kicked in. I had to call around and find an obgyn who would take hcg levels at the initial consultation and who could see me immediately. . My thinking was like yours too. I had to get to zero ASAP so I can start trying again. But the nurse who I spoke with said...take a step back and breathe. Your body is going to do it’s own thing. There’s nothing we can do to make it go faster. Don’t stress.

I appreciated it later and I’m passing it onto you. Hugs

We all know my drop was a weird case, but I think the slope of the curve is pretty accurate from the research I did.

@LAZB: If only there was an algorithm for any of this fertility stuff 😣
I remember they wanted me to come in like a 2 weeks after D & C (I was 8.5 weeks, 13 weeks at d&c) and I waited 3 weeks post surgery because I knew it could take a while for the HCG to drop and I didn't want to get discouraged unnecessarily. There's only so much heartbreak and disappointment you can take! But the HCG really will lower eventually.

I think it can be really variable, at one point I was having to go in for testing every other day b/c my loss was consistent with a partial molar pregnancy, and I think at the end it was something like a week to go from 25 to 0. I did have AF and ovulate before it was completely to 0. I don't think it would go from 768 to 0 in a week, so I would probably wait two weeks, especially if your doctor really wants to see it at 0 and will make you keep coming back until then. I'm sorry, the wait for it to fully drop sucks

It’s definitely likely to slow down, I would wait for the following week. 4-6 weeks for AF seems to be the norm (not a given of course) and often it’s close to zero then. You can ovulate when it’s not zero though (I did so 4 weeks post d&c when I still had a faint pos test). Hugs the wait is hard

My numbers seem to be going down really quickly, but I know that the rate usually slows as it gets lower. Is there some sort of algorithm or something to roughly predict when I might get back to zero?
I started bleeding at exactly 8 weeks which was after my miscarriage had been diagnosed. Two Fridays ago my hCG was 89,000, last Friday my hCG was 19,000, and today it was 768.
I know that it will be what it will be, but I could go get my levels tested again next week or the following week and I don’t want to go next week if it is probably just going to be a waste. Any thoughts?
