Make sure to get some spray lisol and run a air purifier if you have one to try to get the germs that may spread by air!

Thanks all! Luckily we have an ensuite and I was contained there! It's good to know he's not
Guaranteed to get it just from being near me because it's not like I can never touch him!

I went to urgent care this morning and they gave me an IV and some zofran. And I scrubbed and lysoled everything and am constantly washing and sanitizing. Fingers crossed!

I'm sorry, that's terrible. I hope you feel better soon. I got a stomach virus on a business trip last week. We only met for four hours and didn't share any food but everyone in the meeting brought the virus home with them. Somehow managed not to pass it on to LO or DH.

Like PPs have said, lots of hand washing. I also switch to paper towels instead of regular towels. Flush with the toilet lid down. The bathroom gets a lot of Lysol. I tried to use only my bathroom which is separate from LOs. Fecal matter can shed a GI virus for 2 weeks so stay vigilant for a while.

Ugh! Stomach flu is the worst!

We all had it last spring, despite my best efforts to not pass it around the house.

I had it the worst of everyone, so maybe my plan worked a little bit?

I Lysoled everything I possibly could and washed all of our linens in scalding hot water. Pillow cases (including couch pillows), sheets, blankets, comforters, throw blankets and pillows. I washed down all counter tops, including the bathroom sink, toilet, and all door knobs and handles (including the toilet handle, bathroom sink knobs, kitchen sink knobs, light switches, closet door knobs, front door, etc)

I probably got it the worst because I was the one doing the cleaning. :silly:

Oh no! Reading this gave me flashbacks, I swear I have PTSD from my last bout of stomach flu -- it is the worst!! But if it's any comfort, my husband didn't get it, despite lying in bed with me and being in close proximity to me the whole time I was sick. Like others have said, just wash, wash, wash your hands! I hope you're feeling better soon.

We are in the same situation right now. I was trying to avoid it and was washing my hands every minute...I'm now sick, however I was taking care of my sick family members. I would say keep your distance and don't feel guilty about screen time.

Use Lysol or clorox wipes on surfaces that get a lot of action. Keep hand sanitizer in multiple places so you can use it frequently.

I hope you feel better soon and that he doesn't get it!

Oh, that so sucks! Be hyper aware when you are changing diapers and feeding. That's the main time the stomach flu gets passed on. Lots of handwashing especially at those times, maybe wear gloves. The other time to be aware is when you vomit, because the virus can get on your clothes, so maybe change your clothes after an episode. Feel better soon!!

Ugh, I hope you feel better soon! I would do as much hand washing and sanitizing as you can. Is your LO interested in screen time? Let him watch as much as he will tolerate while you rest. Good luck!

We had the same thing happen in our family. Husband, then me, then our nanny BUT our son did not get it. I hope it will be the same for you! Extra hand washing like you said and keep LO out of the areas you've been sick even if you've cleaned them. I hope you feel better soon, I remember how tough it is.

For the past several hours, I have been sick with a violent stomach flu. I have gotten no sleep and begged for God to put me out of my misery as i dry heaved for the 20th time.

My husband HAS to go to work today. I have no family or friends in the area that can watch my LO, not to mention he's never been watched by anyone anyway because we've only been home for a month.

Besides just washing my hands as much as possible and keeping as much distance as I can, any thoughts? I would hate for him to suffer through this.
