My son will eat a huge bowl of something on Monday and then on Tuesday he decides he doesn't like it. So, what I do on those nights, is make my son an egg with some shredded veggies or spinach. If he hasn't eaten well all day, I have a go to meal I make that he almost always eats. I've also found that the same food served in a different way will appeal to him, such as applesauce in a squeeze pouch opposed to from a spoon.

He's too young to let him go without a meal and I don't think at 16 months he understands the consequences anyway.

We just experienced this tonight. LO is 8 months and suddenly hates green beans. I forced the issue and she ended up vomitting all of her dinner. She does have a little bit of a cold, but she ate the apples just fine that I gave her before the green beans.

I guess we will stay off the green beans for awhile.

How do others deal with a LO suddenly not liking a particular food?

RJ did this when he had a cold. The only thing he could keep down was yogurt. He projectile vomited on me every single meal for a few days. It was when he was around 7 months old. The pedi said it was because of all the mucus in his throat. The cold yogurt numbed the feeling so he could get it down, but anything else would come right back up. Oh my, we did a lot of laundry that week. We were at my parents' too. Haha. That was the worst trip EVER.

So, while LO has been doing so well with eating solids, all of a sudden, today, she's decided she can't do it! Anything I was giving her, she began gagging...Even a smooooooth puree of pears! She LOVES pears! She gagged so hard that she threw up.

Wassup???
