My lo is the same age as yours and i am aware there is definitely a 2 year regression, and im dreading it but it hasnt hit yet over here. I will say my lo went through a period of early waking this summer that just resolved itself on its own. There was nothing we could do but wait. Could the time change be part of it as well?

There is definitely a 2 year regression of some sort. Doesn't help that yours is coinciding with DST. 😁

My LO is the same age, but went through a long patch of 5.30 wake ups over the summer. We tried changing loads of stuff and nothing seemed to work, so we got him one of those ok to wake clocks and started putting books in his cot so at least we could get a little more sleep! I'm not sure if it is to do with the clock, but over a few months his wake time has gradually shifted back to 6.15 - 6.30 wish (it's never been any later than that). We also put him to bed at 7.30 but he is never asleep until 8.30, and he naps around 2 hours during the day. He does sleep in a little later the day after a short nap, so it seems he is happy with his 12 hours total sleep! Good luck

My 2 yo has the same schedule and it's maddening. At least he Sttn with no issues so we are thankful for that. But we can't visit friends or stay in a hotel because he wakes up the whole house at 5am!

On weekends he actually refuses his nap and sometimes that gets him to sleep until 6/6:30am. Still not great but better than 4:45!

We had a horrible sleep regression right at 24 months old. I would say wait it out cuz it seems a little early to take out the nap but if nothing seems to work I might try fiddling with the sleep schedule, either take out the nap or try a later bedtime as others have mentioned.

My LO was a month or so older when he started doing this but the only thing that helped was moving to a later bedtime. So now at 2.5 his schedule looks something like this:
6:30 am wake-up (sometimes he'll sleep until 7am)
12-1:30pm nap
8:30pm asleep (so bedtime at ~ 8pm)

Right around 2 our sleep went to shit. Luckily she was still STTN, but she was waking up earlier and refusing to nap. Part of it was probably due to our schedule. It was summer so we were always on the go, she was staying up later..she was also out of daycare so all sense of routine was out the window.

It was a very difficult time, but after about a month she went back to normal. I think 1/2 of it was getting back into a regular routine and 1/2'was just riding out the regression. Sorry I'm not much more help!

My 23 month old has decided to wake up at 5:30 a.m. the past 2 weeks. I leave him in his crib for as long as possible - this morning it was until 6:20 a.m., but he's not getting enough sleep and is so cranky during the day.

Is this a 2 yr regression and just wait it out, or do I need to try changing his nap up? Sleep Schedule:

5:30 a.m. - wakeup
12-1:30 pm - naptime (he never sleeps more than 1.5 hrs)
7:30 p.m. - bedtime
