@artsyfartsy: I only say that because DS just had them, and it started out soon after his bath one night. Looked almost like small bug bites on his belly. Then it went away. Then showed up again the next night after his bath, but was on his chest. Went away again after his Zyrtec dosage, but then came back with a vengeance the next night and was all over. Took him into the ped the next morning and it was all over his face and body. She said it was definetly hives and was likely a virus since he tested negative for strep. I guess they're common with strep. If they're coming and going and start traveling around his body, could be hives. And again, they can show up for a plethora of reasons.

@BananaPancakes: I'm not sure! I assumed allergic reaction, but really he's never had anything like this before (he's never had a skin allergic reaction either).

Last night I took a bath with a Lush bath bomb. I put on PJs and then got T ready for bed. His face broke out while we were reading books and cuddling in bed. I assumed it was from the heavily scented bath bomb I used because it was still lingering in the air in our bedroom and all over me. I gave him some Benadryl, took a shower and changed clothes, and it cleared up.

Tonight it came up again right before bedtime. This looks much worse, but I didn't check under his chin last night so it may have been similar. No breathing troubles. It doesn't even seem to bother him much. I gave him some Benadryl again. He was laying on the couch while I cut his nails before he broke out and then running around playing with the dog while I was running his bath.

I have no clue what it could be. DH suggested that bath bomb could still be lingering, but I've been with T all day and didn't shower until just a few hours ago.

Of course I'm racking my brain for new things coming in contact with him, which is why that bath bomb was the obvious last night. But I can't think of anything.

I'm going to e-mail the pics to his doc but I don't expect a quick response. :bummed:
