I think it doesn't *look* all that low BUT the main thing, at least I think, is how it feels.. and what you describe sounds like a bit of a drop. For me, that didn't mean anything about labor, but each pregnancy I carried lower, and for lo3, labor was pretty quick and went smoothly, and my dr attributed that a lot to how low she was sitting. :)

@crazydoglady: definitely can be gradual, sudden, or not at all. Haha! One of those great things.

I can’t really tell either, maybe you look a bit lower I’m the second pic. I don’t think I dropped with my pregnancies either so I don’t really get it!

I too decided to vacuum out my car at like 39 weeks pregnant so I fully understand the sweaty mess thing but you look great! In the home stretch!

@Mrs. Goose: I'm kind of wondering if it can be a gradual thing? And I know dropping doesn't mean labor is imminent or anything, but just feels different.
@pachamama: Thanks! I feel like such a sweaty mess most of the time.

Kind of tricky to tell based on your shirts (if they were totally formfitting it would be easier to see any differences), but it does look a bit lower and based more on how you describe how you feel then it sounds like the baby is lower!

Neither of my kids dropped until I was in labour so I never noticed a visual or physical difference, but I have seen people whose belly’s look vastly different when the baby drops.

I never dropped with my son until I was actually in labor, so this is new to me. I am 38 weeks with #2 and, over the past couple days, I have felt like I could breathe a bit better, but my pelvis feels more engaged. At my appt yesterday, the dr said he could feel her head even though I am only 1 cm dialted. Is this dropping? It's completely forgein to me.

Pic on left is from 37 weeks and right is today at 38. Please excuse messy bun, I got it in my head to vacuum out the car.
