@fussygal: I don't think it rhymes enough to be a concern, I'd say theres some Alliteration there, but I wouldn't be concerned.

@Mrs. D: Our last name with a different first letter is Dagerman. Most people say it Dager-MIN (rather than MAN) so I feel like there's a bit of a sing-song/rhyme thing going on with Lin-KIN. I really like the name though so I'm trying to avoid hearing it lol.

Doesn't sound rhymey to me either, maybe it's your accent, or Braverman is not similar enough. Maybe give us your last name with the first letter changed so we can hear it better.

If you're really concerned about rhyming, consider using Lincoln as the middle name. Lots of people go by their middle name.

Good luck!

I'm not getting a rhyme-y vibe with Braverman. Maybe it's worse with your actual name, but it sounds fine to me.

I think if your last name rhymes with Braverman, Lincoln isn't at all rhymey.

We just found out last week that LO #2 is a boy(!) and we're having a really hard time deciding on names. One that we both like is Lincoln, but I think it might rhyme too much with our last name. Our last name is similar sounding to Braverman (shoutout to Parenthood!) and has the same number of syllables. The few people I've talked to don't think it's too rhyme-y, but I can't quite decide!

We'd probably call him Linc most of the time anyway, but I'm thinking role call in school or kids making fun of it in a sing-song way.
