Last time I spotted for over a month, maybe even 6 weeks. Not as long as you are describing or as heavy (like, changing a pantyliner a couple of times a day). I don’t think it could hurt to call but I would guess it’s normal. Do you have a follow up appt to check the placement? I seem to remember one which would be a good time to ask. Three weeks ago I had the Kyleena IUD placed.. I had not started my period since giving birth. With my previous children, usually my period usually came back around 6-7 months postpartum. </p> <p>So two weeks ago (one week after iud), I started bleeding. Bright red spots. Heavier than pantyliner but lighter than like normal period. I still have to wear and change out the pad couple of times a day. Well...it’s been like this for two weeks and going on day 15!!. Not heavy and not light. Bright red. Previously before pregnancy, my periods were red and turned brown for spotting after couple of days. </p> <p>Is this normal? Should I call my OB? </p>
