You know your baby. When A had her double ear infection (with a fever), the doctor told me to wait it out, because she assumed it was a virus. She wasn't tugging on her ears or showing other symptoms. On day 4 or 5, we took her to ZoomCare, and it was a horrible ear infection. I wish I trusted my gut on day 1-2, when I knew she just wasn't being herself. A simple ear check is fast, and your doc would be able to confirm or rule it out.

@jlm22: M checked her over well, so I don't think that's it.@littlejoy: she has not had a fever with teething. She had a 2 week sleep regression after we got home from vacation but was back to 10 hours a night then going back down. This week it's been 2 wake ups. Yes on new foods but nothing in the last week.

@youboots: This is classic ear infection for DD. Classic. It happens at night because the fluid and pressure really builds up when she is laying flat. She doesn't run a fever. I would get her ears checked today. Those nights suck!! Good luck!

It could be sleep regression ... it could be teething (molars?) ... have you checked her temp again?

If she still doesn't have a fever, that's awesome. Has she eaten any new foods (or have you (delivered via breastmilk)? A little tummy massage (clockwise circles could help that).

Sleep regression is very real, and veerrrryyyy disturbing to sleep and normal daily function. T is learning some major physical skills right now.

This might be random, but did you check her toes to make sure one of your hairs isn't tightly wrapped around one?

Poor T :(

Last night was the worst night we have had with our 10 month DD in recent memory. She screamed on and off from 11 to 1 (maybe 2) last night. I BF her and she cried on the boob. Cuddled her, had her in bed with us, tried letting her CIO, nothing seemed to calm her. We even took off her jams to check her skin to make sure she did not have a spider bite. She did not have a fever. We gave her Advil. Eventually she fell asleep on me and we all slept in till 8. She's now in her crib sleeping more. She has 5 teeth and the sixth one should be thru any day- I just don't remember teething being this bad. We briefly discussed taking her to the emergency room in the night. Is this teething? Should I take her in if it happens again tonight? She was hysterical and inconsolable which is not like her. I'm stumped.
