@pinkelephant: ha! I pulled two dried navy beans out of my 2.5 yr old niece's nose just last week that she got out of a sensory bin and stuck up there for who-knows-what reason. Apparently not that unusual for this age

@T.H.O.U.: @sauerkraut: @SweetiePie: Thanks. I am thinking it's probably ok.....I just was asked to speak to my 2.5 year old about sticking Play-Doh in her nose/ears at school, which makes me think that most of the other kids are out of that phase (if the teachers thought it was something worth remarking on...)

I think I'm mostly just annoyed b/c I was expecting them to be a lot bigger!

2.4 yo here and I'd be fine with that. But he literally never puts anything in his mouth (never did even as an infant) so I'm just not worried as much.

I would not be upset about the size for that age range.

So disappointed! I ordered some Valentine "mini ducks" from Amazon to put in the goodie bags for my DD's preschool class, and they are a lot smaller than I expected. We have some half-size holiday themed ducks at home, and I was expecting that size....these are REALLY mini (and yes, I know I should have read the description more thoroughly - my bad!) I had planned to also include heart bubbles and stickers - I'm trying to avoid candy/food. Aside from being more plastic junk (ha), would you be upset from a safety perspective if your 2.5 - 3 year old received these at a preschool party? For size reference, they're slightly wider than the cap on a Plum Organics pouch, and about double the height of the cap.

All the kids had to be two by Sept 1st, so they're all at least 2.5; some are already 3, and many (most) have older siblings, so they're already exposed to small toys at home.
