Im 19 weeks pregnant too and for a couple weeks now LO hasnt been too interested in nursing. Her latch was good but she nursed for a lot less time, so we took it as a sign she was ready to wean. I started not offering and she weaned completely. Bitter sweet. Good luck

It could be, but she might not be getting much so that's why she is doing what she is doing. When mine weaned she straight up refused to latch and would reach for her cup.

I would say possibly yes. My LO does a similar thing now, but I have also actively reduced the amount of time we nurse little by little (she is 17 months as well) by popping a binky in her mouth after nursing for a little while. She has not complained at all, and I think for my LO, it is because she doesn't get much out of it as far as milk goes (I am ~10 weeks pregnant), so she is just as happy to simply snuggle with me and a binky as to be nursing. So this could be a good time to try just having a morning/evening snuggle instead of nursing and see how it goes, if you are ready to wean.

I don't have any advice as my LO's just straight refused to nurse when they weaned, but bumping the thread!

I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant and still nursing LD twice a day, morning and night (she's 17 months). The past few weeks she nurses for the same time and doesn't act differently, except she purposefully has a very shallow latch and barely sucks. Kind of like when she would comfort nurse as a baby. It's so weird! And kind of frustrating. My supply has already tanked from pregnancy, now it's almost gone since she's not really nursing well. She doesn't seem to care, but it just seems weird! It's not teething... Is this weaning? I always assumed she'd just shorten the session or not ask, not continue to nurse but just do it very lightly.

Anyone have any thoughts?
