@mediagirl: they have a new RNP with vibration!

It was great to put L in while I took a shower when he was little - but now, at almost 6 mos, he's over it. I'm lending it to a friend.

I didn't get one, and I didn't have to transition to a crib! (Went from pnp to crib with no problems at 4 months.) I voted meh, you'll survive. We had a swing, though, that dd loved. She DID have plagiocephaly and brachiocephaly but NOT severe and we didn't treat it. Part of that was genetic.

We couldn't live without it. She slept in it every night til about 10 weeks when we fully transitioned into crib. We take it with us when we go to my parents or in laws house, she naps in it, etc. definitely our favorite baby "holder"! Actually at 11 weeks, she is preferring it to her swing, so it's getting lots of use.

I am wary of it in general, so I would skip on it for now, but if your LO has issues reconsider it at that point in time. That was my mentality with a lot of those type of items for my LO.

I seriously don't know what we would do without our RnP. LO is very selective about when he feels like being in his bouncer, so the RnP is what he ends up in when I'm trying to get stuff done and need to set him down somewhere where I can still see, entertain, and talk to him. We also use it instead of a bassinet - his nursery with the crib is on the other end of the house, and it's SO easy to move around to different rooms and take to my parent's house when they're babysitting. And all around it's just his favorite place to be other than our arms, it's been a lifesaver for the past two months!

I had it, but I voted meh. LO didn't like it any better or worse than the other baby holders (bouncer, etc). I wouldn't have felt comfortable having her sleep in it as a bassinet (just me) and didn't think it necessary for anything else.

It was our number 1 newborn essential. M slept in it for all nights and naps until 5 months (she was small). Didn't have plagiocephaly but I'm sure it's something to look into. I just loved being able to rock her to sleep and not have to move her to a crib or p&p once she was asleep. It folds totally flat so it came with us for travel. I rocked it with my foot while I ate Christmas dinner. For us it was a lifesaver.

We love the rnp! It's so easy to move from room to room, and carry back and forth to our parents houses! It's the only thing he will sleep in at 10 weeks. Our ped even said he preferred him sleeping in it, because he favors sleeping on his tummy.

LO is 16 days old and I couldn't do without it. She sleeps next to me in her rock n play for now because most of the time she spits up if she lays flat on her back in her crib. She also usually takes one nap a day in the rock n play so I can catch a nap as well. It's easy to fold up - we brought it to my IL's house earlier this week and LO hung out in it while we ate dinner. Love it!

I'm a huge baby gear minimalist & I LOVED it! I loved that I could easily put P down to sleep wherever I was & it was easy to move & easy to have next to the bed (pretty compact) so I could easily get here....

Of course we plan on using a sidecar set up to co-sleep right from the start with this next so idk if I'll use it the same, but I seriously loved it with P.

I'm borrowing one from a friend, but I hear it's super nice to have. What did your other LOs sleep in as infants? If you already have a solution that works, I don't know that it's necessary but if what you have doesn't work, you could consider buying one.
