I'm thinking that may be it too. We don't buy her a lot of things other than clothing, but she was dressed to the nines on Easter. We're old school though, and we all dress up for holidays.

We did just come back from a trip to Disney but that was a trip for me, and I brought her along. Everyone knew that I had a girlfriend with a time share who had extra points and invited me, so we did a cheap girls trip and that this wasn't a trip for the baby. Maybe they thought that was overboard? lol

There is a family within this group that had their first and only child at 44, and people do talk behind their backs that the little boy is spoiled. He goes on trips, and doesn't want for anything, but he is a very well behaved and good boy. Not my definition of spoiled. I am guessing we are quickly being lumped with this group.

@travelgirl1: I agree she could have meant material things. J is so spoiled with gifts. He gets toys, clothes, snack food from our families all the time - no holiday or special occasion needed.

Did you think she meant spoiled with material things? I think my family think I spoil A but I don't think I do... She's too young to spoil!

I have no advise or answers but I somehow thought I read you can't spoil a baby under 1 (like it was impossible).

I was asked this question by DH's grandmother at Easter this past weekend. My response was "ummm, she's nine months old, how could she be spoiled?"

I'm not sure what this question was all about. It's not like she was fussing and I was giving into her or anything like that. She's an extremely mellow, well behaved baby who was just hanging out on her lap when I got this question. Have you ever gotten weird comments like this?
