Yep.. My LO does the same thing. Even tho her last bottle was 12 hours ago, the first bottle is always the smallest. Not sure if it has anything to do with her last bottle being the biggest. But still...you'd think they'll be hungry after 12 hours!

Btw winniebee..my LO was also diagnosed with silent reflux and was on Prevacid for a bit.

@kiddosc: Hmmm. Interesting! I think he's too excited and just STARES at me and tries to smile while drinking.

I don't usually get E up, but DH has been out of town for two weeks so I've been doing wake-up duty. He isn't really interested in eating much at all when he first wakes up. I tried to nurse him, but he's much more interested in giving me big grins, trying to grab the dog, or playing with my necklace. He's been waiting an hour or two after he wakes up to eat. He still eats once during the night, usually around 1:30, but won't eat in the morning until 8-8:30.

I find it odd that when my son STTN and finally wakes for a bottle, he takes a lesser amount than he eats the rest of the day! Sometimes when he wakes up after not eating for 10 hours, he only drinks 3 ounces. Oh, and he never falls back asleep at this bottle but sometimes WILL fall back asleep after rolling around and cooing in his crib.

Is anyone else's baby like this?
