Our bedroom is right next to the nursery, but DD1's room is really just across from us too (there is no long hallway, just a small landing with 3 bedrooms and a bathroom). Doesn't matter though since we all use white noise.

We live in a small cape so it is across the hall from us but very tiny hallway. It's more of a landing than a hallway really. But we don't share any walls at least (bathroom in between).

In our new house, my oldest son's bedroom is next to ours and then my youngest son's bedroom is next to his. They have a Jack and Jill style bathroom between their rooms. I wanted a house that had all the bedrooms on the second level, and I'm glad we found one like that. I like being close to my kids.

It's across from ours. Their rooms sort of Jack and Jill because they're directly across from our master suite. Just down the hall is their bathroom and the 5th bedroom/guest room.

With our eldest, he comes into our room if something's up. It's not too bad. He knows to go to the bathroom by himself at night and not wake us up. It took some practice, but he figured it out.

Yep. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment so there is no getting around it. I like having DD1 close to me so I can hear her if she needs help. I will like it even more when the baby moves into that room too.

The baby's room is across the hall. We leave both doors open and there is no need for a monitor for sound at least.

Yes, in fact our room is actually in between the two boys rooms. Right now it actually works fine and is pretty convenient but we are planning on either moving to a bigger house with a separate master suite or adding a second floor suite to our current house once they get a little older. For now though it's just easier to be closer to the baby for night feedings and the 3 yo still needs help using the potty so a separate suite would be a pain and we'd end up sleeping in this room anyway!

I wish! Our master is downstairs and DD's room is upstairs. This is why she's NEVER slept in there and she'll be 2 on Monday!

Yes. With both doors open I can see DD from my bed if I sit up. With the remodel we have planned the master bedroom will be on the opposite side of the house, simply out of necessity.

Ours is... not a setup I would have picked. We may expand our house so that the bedroom is on the other side of the house, and then give our bedroom to our son (the kids currently share a room).
