When we were little we had joint birthday parties, and then when we were older we each got our own party. I loved having our birthdays so close together. I was born on the 7th, my sister born the 13th and my other sister born the 26th. </p> <p>My younger sister and I did have shared birthday because we were one year apart. I like having our birthdays so close together. I'm guessing my mom maybe combined our parties when we were really little? But I don't remember. Every birthday I remember I had my own party. Our birthdays are in July so usually we both just had a pool party at our club so it wasn't very hard to do two of them. One thing I do remember is that when we were little, we'd often get little gifts from family on the other's birthday too, I guess to avoid jealousy. So I guess if the birthdays were closer together, that probably wouldn't have happened :)</p> <p>But my mom and her sister share the exact same birthday, and their other sister is about a month later (and within a few days of their mom's birthday). But I do recall friends, especially those whose parents were not as financially secure, complain about getting 'ripped off'. I'm sure they were just being dramatic, as many kids do. But I always felt bad for them! I'm assuming though, that some parents aren't as thoughtful as yours were. I can only think of a few times that we had real parties (we usually just did family parties). Whenever we did have a party, though, we did them together. We never had an issue with that. Which means we'll start trying 9 months before LO turns 2. Which means if I did get pregnant right away (although I'm not counting on it) their birthdays could be the same month.</p> <p>My brother and my birthdays are 5 days apart. It never seemed to be an issue. We each had our own party and we each got our own seperate attention. When we got older my parents would take us out to celebrate our birthdays together, but by then we didn't care. </p> <p>I guess I just never thought about how hard it must have been on my mom to have to give us two parties so close together, especially on their wallet!</p> <p>Do you have a birthday close to your siblings?
