I never invited the whole class to my parties (I still remember one girl who did that-- she was, and still is, one of the nicest people I know!), so it didn't really impact my celebrations :) And my mom never brought any treats into class because we were poor... lol.</p> <p>Hubs was born on the 4th of July and he didn't care about it being in the summer, because it was usually a huge party with a BBQ and fireworks. Can't stand all the drama that comes when someone doesn't get invited and finds out about the party then expects me to do something about it like I can force parents to invite everyone or something. And the cupcakes, oh the cupcakes. My mom would always bring treats like cupcakes or pizza for our classmates on our actual birthday if it fell on a weekday. We'd also have a party with family and some friends, so I think that's similar to what you were thinking of doing. </p> <p>My older brother's birthday is during the summer, and he did run into the problem of friends being on vacation when he had a party. Then we started going on summer vacations, and we'd be out of town for his birthday. My best friend's was almost always over Thanksgiving break, which she hated. Makes party throwing easier imo. </p>
