@photojane: It takes people a long time to figure out it's not worth it to eat certain things. For me it's chocolate, it gives me awful migraines, and for the longest time I still ate it. I just stopped when I got pregnant with LO because it's not safe to take the meds when pregnant, and now I have to take care of her so I can't afford to give myself a migraine.

DH is lactose intolerant and would still eat dairy for the longest time, but he finally stopped that.

He's pretty easy as long as there is meat. He doesn't like any of my favorite menus from when I was single haha. That was a lot of pasta dishes with spinach, mushroom or shrimp with just evoo and pepper. He gags when I talk about it!

DH is very easy to cook for. I think he could eat the same thing day after day and not care though. He always says he likes everything though, so I have trouble believing him. Who likes everything?!?

I guess the one exception is that he's not really into main dishes without meat. That doesn't limit me too much though.

@artbee: there was a while where we thought Dan might have had Crohns but it turns out he had some other digestive issues. He still ate whatever he wanted to though & just got sick all the time! He's a nut.

But, we're both pretty picky & don't like to experiment too much so it makes it easy to cook!

Luckily my husband is super easy to cook for. He eats anything and everything. The hardest part about cooking for him is that he eats so much...when we first started dating, I seriously asked him if he had some type of tape worm or something. I'd never seen a human eat so much. I've gotten better about cooking enough over the years. Can't have the man starving.

I'm kind of a picky eater but mostly because I have Crohn's so certain things may bother me. Poor husband doesn't like my cooking when I'm having a flare.

DH isn't picky at all and will never complain about my cooking but he's a GREAT chef and I suck! So when I DO make something, I'm always worried it tastes gross and he's just not saying anything because he's too nice.

@artbee: Oh man, I don't know if I could cook for your DH! Mine loves spice, and sauce, and I start almost all of my meals with sauteed onion and garlic!

Mine is super easy to cook for. He doesn't care for broccoli, but will still eat it with only a few grumbles when it's put in front of him. He'll happily eat anything and everything else I put in front of him. He does really like it when I cook vegetarian meals, so finding new and interesting vegetarian meals (because I like them just as much as him) has been a fun challenge.

My DH has crohns, and a very sensitive stomach. I can't make anything spicy, saucy, and can't use certain ingredients like mushrooms, onions, etc. Plus he's lactose intolerant. It took me awhile to figure out what I can cook, and my poor DH had some upset stomachs as I was experimenting. Not easy to cook for!
