yes it is. but if we tell him no, and the cat isn't by the dish, he usually leaves it alone.

He's obsessed. I'm constantly having to get him out of the laundry room. Luckily I can shut the door, but I don't like to cut the dog off from her water. And he's just recently figured out how to get into the dog food bin, so I'm constantly catching him in there eating dog food.

@Mrs. Confetti: @MrsF: Well.... to be honest she does occasionally go to his food bowl. She'll pick some up and try to feed it to him though, at least she doesn't stick it in her mouth!

We had some water bowl issues but he learned/grew out of it. Now he feeds the dog (it's his chore).

@artbee: I'm glad to hear this! I've totally been assuming that this is going to be an issue once M is more mobile. Our pup's food sits out all day and she grazes on it. @Mrs. Confetti - sorry it hasn't been as easy for you!

C is obsessed with the dog bowls - he will splash and dump the whole water bowl every time he is nearby, and I have caught him one time with kibble in his mouth. Now our dog eats during his naps and night sleep. Jealous that your LO isn't so into it @artbee

I always thought that we would have to move our pup's dog food once LO started moving around more because he doesn't usually eat it right away so it sits out. But she doesn't ever mess with it at all. Sometimes she'll go look at it and I'll say no touch, and she walks away.

A friend of mine had to move her dog's water bowl because her LO would splash in the water.
