It's not technically attached to my apartment. I have to go downstairs (our apt entrance is on the 2nd floor) and past 3 other garages before I get to my own. </p> <p>Can't wait to buy a home with garage! I would prefer an attached garage during the rainy and snowy days. It's part of the house instead of being beside the house. Pretty much all of the houses down here are being built this way now to save on land space. Never had a garage growing up so I didn't get the big deal. Now that I have it, I'll never go back. No running in and out in the rain, close the garage door before letting the dogs out so no worries about them running off. Its easier with the dog who likes to escape, this way we pull in and shut the garage door then I can just open the door to the house and let the dog run out while I unload everything in the car. Plus, its raining we didn't want to have to drag everything through the pouring rain to the car.
