When the baby did show interest in and attempted to reach for it over the couch cushion, she'd say no and let him know he can't touch it. He's about 18 months now, and doesn't really mess with the ladder bookshelf now.</p> <p>You know those "tab" they give you to secure your TV or dresser to the wall? Maybe you can do something similar for your bookcase to prevent it from falling over? We have outlet covers and try to keep most things above his reach. But we are probably moving before LO gets here, so I think when we move we will take a good look at everything.
