My daughter is probably average or a bit advanced. She has a pretty strong core.

My son is delayed physically (always has been). But he's getting better. Core exercises has really helped a lot. His lower body strength is fine but it's his core and upper body that needs some help, which is probably why he's uncoordinated.

We have him sit on an exercise ball for kids while he's coloring or watching TV. :)

DS is pretty average now that he's 5.5 (he hit all the physical milestones early as a baby). DD is average in some aspects (she started walking at 12 months) but advanced in others (shes been able to jump since 18 months)...she's always hit all of her milestones when shes suppose to though. DD2 already seems advanced (she's been lifting her head high since she was a few days old).

LO has always developed earlier than her classmates. She potty trained early and talks really well. She also walked and crawled early. However, she is CLUMSY. She constantly falls and walks into walls. Her balance is definitely not as advanced as other children.

I think both were average. DD is just more on the cautious side, but she was able to do most milestones on track. DS army crawled on the early side, but then didn't sit up until later... and both kids walked at 13.5 months! So they varied within a range of normal.

My 3 year old was on the very slowest end of normal for her physical milestones, but now she's caught up quite well. She was just cautious, I think, about doing things for the first time.

He is pretty advanced. He was always on the advanced end of average but now he has started really advancing quickly. He sat at about 4 months, crawled at 7ish, walked at 10 months but by 15/16 months he could jump with both feet off of the ground, do sommersaults on his own (we never taught him that!) dribble a soccer ball across a field, hit a large ball pitched to him with a bat etc. I guess part of it is hand-eye coordination. His talking is pretty average though.

ETA: Least fun development--early to climb out of crib :( :(

My son became a fluent crawler last week at 6.5 months old, and he can also pull himself to standing in his crib. So, I think he's a little early. It sucks because now we have to chase him around! I was hoping he would stay immobile for a bit longer for the convenience!

Physically advanced! He crawled at 6 months, walked at 9 months and jumped with two feet very early. He has always been ahead in gross and fine motor. He has speech delay and seems to have some very minor sensory issues but physically he has never had any issue.

J has always been on the later side of average. He army-crawled at 7 months, crawled at 11 months, walked at 14 months. He's now starting to run and jump at 18 months. He's always been a climber, too, but he's generally pretty cautious. He is a big baby about falls, bumps, and bruises though - like, sobbing if he bumps his head on the arm roll of our couch. Very dramatic!

I think he's average but is still clumsy at almost 2.5. I believe this is because he has poor eyesight, so without his glasses he's more prone to have accidents.

J just started really talking at 2.5. He had lots of words but wouldn't really put them together, now (2.9) he sings songs, speaks sentences, etc.

Definitely advanced physically, and his hand-eye coordination is off the charts good.
Verbally on the low side of average - every time I think he's delayed, he catches up to average in that department.

Ellie was delayed in everything but some fine motor. Ironically, she now does OT once/week for fine motor related to writing. She was also very cautious and perfectionistic (still is) so some of the "delays" were compounded by the fact that she didn't want to do any of it at all until she was feeling pretty confident.

Lorelei has been very advanced in everything. Especially verbal, but she is also quite advanced for fine and gross motor as well.

I think she’s average. She walked later on the scale of average at 16 months, but that isn’t a true “delay”.

LO is so freaking cautious when physical behavior that it’s hard to tell what she physically can do and can’t do vs. what she just *won’t* do. Like, at 27 months, she won’t walk up a flight of stairs by herself (has to hold hands, will only attempt it alone by holding onto a handrail if its like 5 steps or less, will NOT attempt it by herself with holding onto a handrail if more than 5 steps), and she doesn’t run for real (she will walk fast and happily announce “I’m running! I’m running!) but I don’t think there is any physical reason she isn’t doing those things. She just doesn’t want to. So, I don’t think that’s a delay either, just stubbornness.
