Yessss, all day long! He's not even 3 yet, but he was an early talker and has had a huge vocabulary for a long time. It's fun to have conversations with him and I love to listen to him, but man, I'm in introvert and sometimes I just need some quiet 😂

Yes! She's 5. She's in Kinder. Her only marks that were average on her report card relate to her ability to be quiet and talk when appropriate or her bossiness. Unfortunately LO2 is not any different. I crave silence.

Yes. Her preschool teachers tell us even when she goes to the bathroom she just sits on the toilet and talks to herself!

Haha yes constant. She does not stop talking. She loves to make up stories now, that always revolve around what the paw patrol characters are up to. When we drove to the cottage this summer, she talked for 6 hours straight. My DH and I find it amusing.

@Truth Bombs: Yes, I'm told my LO gets it from me too, although I have no idea what they mean!

@Mrs. Sunshine: I wouldn't mind if she let me tune it out - she repeats the same thing over and over until I repeat it back or paraphrase! She won't be mollified with "umm"s or" wow"s. Constant noise I have to listen to!

I think so? I have no other kids currently to compare with, but compared to her cousin and some other kids around her age, she does talk way more than them. I've gotten comments from teachers at daycare/church that she talks a lot too...

My LO is a big talker. The car is her favorite place to chat because there's nothing else to distract her so she just talks non stop. I can't blame her, she gets it from me!! Plus, the things she says are usually pretty hilarious, so I like listening to her chatter.

Not quite as much as E but yes. I've actually said things like, "can you please just stop talking and watch tv?" Always makes me feel like a great parent... but sometimes you just need a few minutes of quiet!!

Yes. My 5 yo started babbling non stop at 9 months and still talks constantly! My DD is the opposite though.

My LO isn't a chatterbox to the extent that yours is, BUT there was like a 3 hour chunk yesterday evening where she would not stop talking. Just constant sound and I feel you. She wasn't doing anything wrong but there is just certain point when your brain is like "I don't even know what you are talking about and frankly, I don't care right now!" It was a no nap day and I've been soloing for a while so I'm sure that made it more aggravating!

Mine is!

My 3yo does.not.stop.talking. She starts the moment she wakes up and doesn't stop until she finally drifts off to sleep at night. She follows me around wittering, provides a non stop commentary on everything she does and isn't above telling me off if I try to zone out - "you're not listening to me, mummy". When she's not talking directly to me, she is making her toys talk to each other (and this kid can make a toy out of anything - cutlery, twigs, you name it). Sometimes, she runs out of things to say and then starts making up words...... She rabbits through TV programmes, tells you every little thing she is doing on her tablet and talks over you when you read her a book......

..... I'm considering blowing out my own eardrums.

Anyone else live with a chatterbox?
