My almost 2 yo loves to 'help' me in the kitchen. Measuring is his favorite, although he's pretty sure he needs to measure the whole spice container or sugar container each time. I've caught him spraying the kitchen tile with a water bottle and scrubbing with my nice face washcloths from the bathroom. Sigh.

He doesn't quite have the hot=danger part down yet, so he loves to pull the chair over to the stove when I'm cooking dinner. That's been fun.

DD is 3 and she looooooves to help in the kitchen- possibly too much (she also has tantrums if I don't ask her to do stuff with me). She does similar tasks as your LO and also measures out everything in measuring cups. If I am making something that I really do not want toddler help with I will either make it during nap time or I will get her play kitchen stuff so she can make a pretend version of what I am making.

Less at home, but lo loooves helping at daycare or her music class (they pass out toy instruments, and she likes gathering them up to put away). Recently I walked into her classroom for pick up and she was scrubbing the snack tables while the other kids all played. Her teacher was like "she wanted to!" when I looked surprised, lol! But then at home I'll ask her to clean up her toys and she's like "naaah, you do it" I don't think so!

If I don't give my child a job when I'm getting dinner ready, I should be ready for a tantrum. She wants to do everything but wants nothing to do with the stove (it's hot!) So, she puts out silverware (counts the proper number), gets her milk out of the fridge, pours with help, sets napkins and plates if I hand them to her. She will crack eggs and open bags for me. She's actually pretty helpful, until she drops the big jug of lemonade all of the fridge because it was too heavy...and it doesn't have a cap on it.
