@Mrs. Bee: My daughter was 10 days LATE, so not early at all, but she sounds similar to Olive. Belly crawling mostly at 11 months, then she switched to full time crawling. She started pulling up around 8 months, I guess, and cruising. But at 13 months she's still crawling and cruising. She might walk tomorrow, or it might be a while still.

15 months! he was so big and fat, the pediatrician said not to worry because he just had more weight to carry around than other kids.. hehe. Once he started walking though, the weight fell off!

LO started walking 10 days shy of 13 months. Wasn't a pro (no tripping and falling) until another month or so.

11 months, 8 months, 8 months and 10 months. I guess mine were all early walkers. But my oldest son had some speech delays so I guess there is always something for us parents to worry about.

@serendipity: i'm not too worried about physical milestones. it's actually easier that she doesn't walk in many ways.

she was born 5 weeks early, so if we adjust for that she's 11 months old. but she still isn't even crawling yet (she's belly crawling), and she's not cruising, which charlie was doing at 7 months.

i think she'll end up being a late walker, but the main reason i'm anxious for her to walk is that that's when we're going to send her to daycare!

@Mrs. Bee: I recall Olive was born 4 1/2 weeks early but I'm not sure about Charlie. So for Olive she might be at the development stages of a 8-9 month old. I wouldn't be too worried about a delay, usually we wait till after 15-16 months to be concerned.

My son started walking around 15 months. He probably would have been a little later if he hadn't been moved to the toddlers at 13 months in daycare and motivated by all of them walking.

Charlie took his first steps just before his first birthday, and was walking by 13 months. Pretty average.

Olive is 12 months and still not cruising. Charlie was doing that at 7 or 8 months.

The latest walkers I know we're 18 months. At this rate, I think olive is going to be a very late walker! On the plus side she doesn't get into any mischief. On the negative side, I don't want to send her to daycare until she's walking.

When did your lo walk?
