Our average dinner with her is about 45 minutes. She loves her finger foods but we also do purée to make sure she's getting enough. When we go out to eat we take our time because we usually have to wait for her to finish.

I'm a slow eater, so I wouldn't doubt if LO was like me. But now she still isn't great at getting the food into her mouth, so it takes her a while. She always picks it up, looks at it, drops it, tries to find it, etc. I let her do that until I'm finished with my meal, then I stick the rest of the food in her mouth for her.

@Andrea: Yeah, I can imagine. When I put out Cheerios in front of her, it takes a good 15 seconds for her to finally get it in her mouth!

LO eats really fast and is very impatient if I don't have the next spoonful ready for her when she swollows the bite in her mouth. Sheesh. But yeah, a full meal lasts 15 minutes, at most!

OMG I have the opposite. Baby Y shovels everything into his mouth as fast as he can and screams at me if I take too long cutting something up. It's honestly freaky how fast he can pack food away. Also, he never seems to get full. I swear he would just eat until his little tummy popped if I kept feeding him.

DD can be pretty darn slow. Tonight she took an hour to eat dinner. I just sit there next to her since that is our quality time together and we have little chats (I wait for DH to come home and eat).
