Wagon Jr. will gag then vomit if he eats something he doesn't want to eat. Case in point: after a great dinner the other night, I told him that I'd give him a special treat if he took a bite of his green beans. He said no, no, no, then finally said yes, quickly took a bite, then immediately gagged and vomited up half his dinner. This ONLY happens when we force him to try something he doesn't want to try. I would say I'm positive it doesn't have anything to do with an allergy or reaction... he's just forcing something he fears into his mouth, then freaks out and gags, which leads to vomit.

It has taught us to not force him to try new things... a difficult, messy, and smelly lesson to learn. Especially when it happens at a restaurant. Or in front of your entire extended family!!

My SIL's son is a vomitter for sure! He has a very sensitive gag reflex. So whenever he eats/tries a new food he doesn't like.....it comes right back up!....yuck! LOL

My kids aren't, but I am. :( So far our kids seem to be taking after DH in this regard, who has only thrown up twice in the 8.5 years we've been together.

LO has never vomited yet, but he has a little friend who is really good at vomiting -- he was kind of prone to it when he was a baby, and then figured out how to make himself vomit when he didn't like the food he was eating :( his poor mama! he's much older now and past that stage! :) i think the grow out of it!

Yes my LO is too! It is much better these day but we have to avoid a ton of food in order from preventing him from vomiting. Knock on wood, but besides from all the food related issues he has never been sick.

Our son has always been prone to throwing up... first it was a dairy allergy, and now it's when he eats food and then runs around.

He may also be slightly allergic to apples, because he ate some apple slices the other night and then threw up. Sometimes apples make my throat itch, so maybe he has that too.

We've worked really hard to limit foods that trigger his vomiting, and it's helped a lot I think. Overall I'm just glad he's eating more these days... it's been a long road, but he does eat much better than he used to.

Is your LO a vomiter? Please tell me we're not the only family with a vomiter on our hands!
