Yep! She flips out when the nurse walks in, and then the doctor too.

My youngest is generally afraid and cries bloody murder but he's the super brave one for some odd reason. Got pricked 20+ times recently to test for more allergies and then 4 or 6 more on his upper arm (for types of mold allergies) AND a blood test all within an hour of each other and NO REACTION!

Yes, starting at her 15-month appointment (she is 20-months now). We took her with us to her brother's 1-month appointment a few weeks ago and she flipped out when we were outside the office. She let go of my hand and turned around and started walking away from the office...this cracked me up! Every time a nurse called someone back she cried. Clearly she thought we were there for her. I'm not looking forward to her 2 yr appointment.

My little guy told is the other day he had a dr appt (he didn't). He said the doctor would check his ears, check his eyes, and check his heart. He insisted on going to the doctor and was upset when we told him the doctor was closed.

I would say my kid loves the doctor. That probably comes from the multitudes of appointments he has had since he was born. And doc mcstuffins now.

Big Boy is terrified. He is known for his screams there. Little Girl is only 6 months so she's just a little nervous but doesn't cry that much.

Yes! We had her 15 month well visit today and she screamed from the moment I put her down to get measured. She cracked a few smiles when the doctor pretended to smell her feet, but other then that she was crying. I hope she grows out of this. It was not fun holding her down and watching her so upset!

No, thankfully! He really loves his doctor.
It's been advantageous probably that he has his immunization a done at a different location than where his doctor is

Our pediatrician plays "good cop" and his nurses are the "bad cops." He does all the gentle check-up parts and sends in the nurse with the shots and the measuring parts he has to sit still for...so my LO loves his doctor so far! He gives the nurse evil eyes on the way out the door though :)

She was really excited and kept talking about going to the doctor/dentist until we actually arrived at the office and then got really shy. She clung to me for dear life and wouldn't make eye contact!

With the doctor, she eventually warmed up during the visit. I think she thought the different scopes were interesting.

With the dentist, she cried the whole time until they gave her a bouncy ball to take home. :-P

LO did okay at her 2 year appt. She wasn't afraid but not particularly into it, lol. She had a blank face pretty much the entire time-- until her flu shot. That made her cryyyy hard for a minute but she stopped once the dr gave her some goldfish crackers and a sticker. Since then, she plays dr more at home and will give shots and say "little owwie!"

He never was until his last visit at 2.5. I was able to keep him calm, though, by talking about his doctor kit at home and how we do all the same things when we are pretending to be doctors. The doctor suggested I bring the kit next time, too.

She used to be absolutely terrified. I think it came for her health issues as a small baby and she associated it with being held down for X-rays and restrained for examinations. She used to scream and cling to me. Then suddenly, she decided it was fun, and now she tried to sit in the doctor's lap and giggles.

our DD is not afraid, she is only 2 though. When we go to the doctor we sing the Doc McStuffins song and our doctor is fast and interacts with DD. We are also able to have her sit in our lap while he does the exams so that makes DD feel much better.

We went today for our daughter's three year wellness checkup, and she was so scared! She kept talking about how she doesn't like the doctor's office, and when we went into the room for the actual appointment... she leapt into my arms and hung on for dear life!

There weren't any shots thank goodness, so she got over it eventually. We did a nasal flu mist and that wasn't so bad. I hope that she gets over her fear of the doctor eventually! I think she was just traumatized by previous visits with vaccinations/shots.
