My DD was a little anemic when she was a toddler, and the doctor just told us to do half a Flintstone (the kind with iron) every day. She was a picky eater and did not like meat or green veggies so we just did the vitamin and it helped. If she had been a better eater I would have pushed green veggies and beef, probably.

My LO's doctor just called to say the he is a little anemic and prescribed an iron supplement.

Is your LO anemic? What did you do for it? Supplements or diet changes? I am wondering if we could change his diet to increase it enough or if we really need the supplements.
