I have stomach issues and chronic constipation that resulted in having a colostomy for 3 months and lots of hospital time when I was a kid. I'm fine now if I take my medicine everyday and watch what I eat.

I'm definitely worried about my kids having these issues. When I went to my gastroenterologist last year, I asked about genetics and he said my specific case was probably a birth defect, but there's no real way of knowing.

I'm very constipated and have suffered since I was a kid. It was discovered that I was lactose-intolerant when I was in grade 5 but still, even cutting out dairy didn't help me. I hope LO doesn't become like me!

LO isn't constipated.. I used to be constipated during college and beyond, but cured myself of it once I started eating better.

Charlie has problems with constipation. He was severely constipated tonight, until he finally went after I put him down to sleep. I had to go back in there and change him... poor guy.

Constipation is also a problem on one side of his parent's family tree. But not on the other, so maybe he will grow out of it? Alas, that's probably not how genetics work huh.
