Nope, never ever ever... Wagon Jr. always preferred being in a stroller or seat of some sort than being held. His independence is great, but I do get sad when I hear about cuddlers. He will only sit and take my hugs when he's sick or hurt. I have to BEG him for kisses and hugs these days. Sometimes I bribe him with gummies.

As for Lil Miss Wagon, she is a bit more cuddly than Wagon Jr. was, and likes a carrier and hates carseat/bouncy chair/etc. But she's always pulling her head away from us because she's practicing her neck strength. I love when she runs out of energy because she FINALLY settles down and puts her cheek on my chest or shoulder... but then a moment later, she's arching again. I guess I have strong/independent kids.

She's pretty cuddly :) I think it might as she gets more mobile though...

@BabyBoecksMom: My LO went through stages as a newborn. Some days she only wanted me to hold her and some days she slept best when I put her down. I always loved when she would sleep in my arms :)

@artbee: Awww :-( I have a feeling that will be me and my LO. She's not a snuggler. She's too busy exploring and doesn't have time to stop and snuggle. Even when she was a few weeks old, she slept better when she was in the crib by herself than when we held her.

Not at all. We go to mommy and me classes and all the other kids sit nicely on their mom's or grandma's laps, and my LO refuses. She's always off doing her own thing, and cries if I try to get her to sit and cuddle with me.

One of the classes we always sing a song about "You are the best baby in the world" and you're supposed to cuddle with your LO, and everyone else is always so cute and cuddly! And then there's me chasing after my LO :(

Charlie was definitely cuddly. I think he was more cuddly than Olive. He still loves to snuggle up with us. I think Olive is a little bit more independent maybe because she's a second child. We'll see how much she likes cuddling as she becomes more mobile!

DS is 17 months, but pretty much since the time he was able to move around a bit, he's been independent. He's never been very cuddly except in the few minutes right after he wakes up or right before bed. Or if he's sick. He always wants to be doing something, usually on his own without help. He's constantly on the go.

I think that's one of the reasons I miss the newborn days... I really loved just cuddling with him all the time.

I mentioned to a friend that I hoped my next child was a total mama's baby, but they said I was crazy to want a baby that wanted to be held all the time.
