Wow, you would majorly get dirty looks if you wore your shoes in the class room at our center. They actually provide those blue net booties if you don't want to remove your shoes.

My LO is a bit grimy but its more because she is a messy eater and always has that runny nose that comes with daycare.

When DD was an infant, yes. Our daycare has a no-shoe policy in the two rooms with crawlers; they provide surgical covers in a basket outside the door for people to put over their shoes however I find most people just take their shoes off and leave them in the hallway (DH can't wear the shoe covers because his feet are too big). I will admit that if I always took my shoes off for drop off in the morning but not always for pick-up at night especially if DD was one of the last to be picked up since they are supposed to mop every night.

@Mrsbells: @Mrs. Sunglasses: Her son isn't mobile yet so she probably doesn't think the rules apply to her. I think he is a little over 3 months?

That's so odd! No shoes means no shoes.
He's dirty all right, but that's because he's playing in the sand, eating and wiping himself on his shirt (egh)

wow why would that parent not want to keep the floor clean for her own kids?
At our daycare there is a no shoe policy but its annoying because there isnt a clear spot where people are supposed to remove their shoes so some people wear their shoes all the way to the carpet and then take it off right at the carpet and others take theirs off as soon as they walk in which means those of us who take our shoes off earlier walk with our socks over the dirty floor and then transfer the dirt to the carpet.
To answer your question, my baby is crawling yet but when i pick her up from daycare she does look like she could do with a warm wash cloth to the face.

LO is a crawling machine these days and she always looks a little grimy when I pick her up from daycare.

There is a no shoe policy in her room but I see other parents wearing shoes all the time..so irritating! I asked another parent to remove her hiking boots today and she got pissy!
