My toddler is phasing out Dora (thank heavens) and full-on into the Disney Princesses. It's not annoying yet. I'm enjoying the clips we watch on YouTube together... the old songs are timeless and remind me of my childhood. i just love Disney movies... Old and new. Last year she loved Toy Story 3... Now it's Tangled too. She loves to go in her play castle and pretend to be Rapunzel with her (real) long hair. It's adorable.

I asked my friend's daughter the other day about Elmo and she told me she isn't interested in him anymore. She has moved onto Curious George!

@Mrs. Yoyo: Kids like almost anything with high-pitched voices, I think! The first gen of Sesame Street all had pretty normal voices... so they were doomed alas.

Would it be so wrong of me to hope he never gets obsessed with Elmo? I feel like Sesame Street jumped the shark when it became so Elmo-centric. I'm much more of a Cookie Monster gal, myself.

Charlie used to be obsessed with Elmo! He still loves Elmo, but now he consistently asks for Barney. Elmo is kind of yesterday's news at this point.

Is your LO "over" any of their previous children characters? Have they moved onto any new and shiny characters?
