I mostly let her choose between two that I pick each day that are appropriate for her outfit/activity and she doesn't give me much trouble. BUT, she MUST wear one pink sock and one blue sock AT ALL TIMES. I gave up arguing about that one awhile ago! I keep trying to get her new sneakers but she always says they are too tight and that she doesn't want them. Same with boots. They were not cheap but my husband has the same pair and I thought it would be adorable for them to have matching shoes. He won't put them on. Almost every time I manage to get his foot into one he starts to cry and says they hurt him. They're fine shoes but they don't look great with dresses or nicer outfits. I don't usually fight her on it because it's just shoes but man I really hate having a cute dress ruined by her tennis shoes! </p>
