Hmmm, my LO hasn't shown any signs of possessiveness yet. But that may change once his baby sister comes?

LO is still very young so she's supposed to be. The whole world revolves around her in her eyes. So if I have a toy, it needs to be her toy. Then she throws it away.

LO hasn't shown any signs of being possessive. When do kids start acting like that?

Wow, Charlie is so possessive! At first, it was a real problem. Then we quickly realized we could use it to manipulate him. If he doesn't want to take a bath, we just jump in the water and say, "My bath!" Then of course, he wants it for himself.

I wonder if little manipulations like this reinforce his possessiveness in a negative way though. Or maybe he'll just grow out of the possessiveness over time? He's so sweet with Olive and not jealous at all, so so far we haven't been too worried. He's pretty good about sharing with other kids too. Still, it's something that I think about and I often wonder how other parents handle it.

Anyway, is your LO possessive? How do you manage the possessiveness?
