It's tough though, because I'm sure she'd love to do tumbling or ballet, and I'd love her to do French. We found a place that had great evening classes. This is her 2nd year and I'm a bit disappointed that it isn't more intense. It was slow last year, too, but she was only 2 so we didn't push it. But I was expecting more this year so we gave such feedback to the instructor and she said everyone else complained that the class is too intense. I wanted to begin earlier but the year got away from me last year. It's got parental involvement required, so my husband and I will alternate attending.</p> <p>I know a lot of parents say that activities cut in the way of family time and I struggled with handling it, but I found that if my son doesn't have structure and I haven't had time to plan, the weekends turn into screen time fests and all of a sudden it's Monday and we didn't do anything. So, I felt comfortable scheduling the class for Saturday morning. To me swim lessons isn't negotiable and kids need to be comfortable in the water. Usually they are just in the summer but we found a year round program.</p> <p>We did a toddler soccer program which was great but the 2 hour drive each way wasn't. So when my Crossfit gym let me start a toddler class, we quit soccer.</p> <p>Now he does my toddler Crossfit class which I love. And the kids seem to like it too. We bribe my kid with Crossfit to go to swim lessons.</p> <p>I won't take my son to the gymnastics program in town for a number of reasons.
