Male and I'm comfortable with him. He is really nice and always makes time for my questions. He delivered our first child and will be delivering our second.

My primary ob-gyn is a male, but I haven't seen him since before I got my BFP. My main perinatologist is a guy, but my appointments are with which doc is up, and the other two are women.

I saw a female gynecologist prior to starting with my current practice, but she was GYN only and her office was near where I work, not near where I live so she wouldn't have been able to deliver at my hospital even if she was OB.

My current practice has two male doctors and two female midwives. My initial pelvic was done by one of the females, I haven't had any internal exams yet by the males, but I feel comfortable enough with them now that I wouldn't have a problem. It makes a world of difference that I've had several office visits with each before they actually get in my biz :)

Both my GYN and my RE are female. I also have an OB practice picked out that has "All Female" in the name. I'm not really comfortable with a male doctor all up in my business.

My main OB is a female, but there is a male in the practice... actually he started the practice. He doesn't deliver anymore, but I would have been thrilled if he had been there for LO's birth. He's awesome and one of the most highly regarded ob-gyns in the area. My previous ob-gyn was a male as well, but also a lot older. I think I would be weirded out if they were young.

I have a woman. I'm just more comfortable with that. And I like the fact that she is a mother so she can relate to my pregnancy issues and concerns. I was recommended to her because she is my primary care doctor's OB so I felt really confident about her skills as well. Turns out all the OBs in her practice are also women which was a happy accident for me.

I see both. I don't have a problem with either. It's not like they are getting any pleasure out of examining me. I've actually found the males to be a little more compassionate though.

Female. Our fertility dr was a male though.... it actually made me kind of uncomfortable. I think one reason I prefer a female is because she can relate.

I go to a practice that mainly has three femal OB/gyn's and you rotate seeing all of them during pregnancy. There are two semi-retired mal gyn's in the practice, but they don't do deliveries so you don't see them during pregnancy.

female. I don't think I could have a male. My OB was going away the weekend after my due date and said she could refer me to a male doctor in the practice and I got SO freaked out. So glad DD decided to show up 11 days late (the only positive of that decision lol)

I have always had a female gyno, but this time I have a guy (chose him based on recommendations/word of mouth). DH and I both like him a lot! He's young (I would guess early 30s? but looks younger) and for some reason that weirds me out less than I think an old guy would. But the other 3 doctors in the practice are all older, so who knows who will deliver this baby. I would try to choose a doctor based on word of mouth, rather than based on gender.
