He was pretty gentle when she was born, but the older she gets (almost 9 mos now) and the more she can move around and grab his stuff, the less gentle he gets. I don't see it getting any better... once they start seeing the other kid as a KID and a peer, it's hard to go back to that gentle-baby mentality.

I hope so! My daughter is so caring and gentle with her baby dolls...Until she dashes it across the room and laughs.

DD will be here in 3 1/2 weeks.....so I will see how DS does with her! his little cousin was born 1 month ago and so far he's not too bad with her, but he sees her once a week, not every day! i'm not the most hopeful that he's going to be gentle haha he's a wild man.

Im pregnant, but I'm very happy to see that my toddler understands he has to be gentle to babies when we see them at play dates. It's really very sweet. I'm hoping this will continue for when his sibling arrives.

My toddler isn't gentle at all! The baby usually tolerates the abuse but she isn't having any of it today!
