They have (very slowly) been remodeling and restoring it to its original state. Luckily, the bad 90s remodel didn't get rid of the unique details that make the home so awesome! Like the two front rooms with their original pine floors, fireplaces, and mouldings. They just finished the kitchen and dining room, I can't wait to see it at christmas! My parents bought their homes within the last ten years and have updated them. My dad and stepmom just bought this big, beautiful farmhouse that was built in 1910. It needs some work. I can't wait to see how they update it. My stepmom has wanted an old house for a long time. They did a major remodel last year: scraped all popcorn ceilings, repainted everything, all new flooring, all new crown molding, brand new kitchen, recessed lighting, new doors &amp; windows, the works! The house was built in the early 1900s, and while my dad did some remodeling when they moved in 25 years ago, none of the owners have made any serious gut changes to keep up with the times. My mom is happy with everything so I'm happy that they aren't planning to move!</p> <p>They still have the same high end carpet from 1981...they never let us wear shoes or eat on it so it is in excellent condition!!! </p>
