A couple years ago I made this eleborate plan for a camping trip for his birthday. I talked secretly to his boss and got him some days off; I wrapped up all these little camping gifts he could open as clues to his big present; etc... and he totally blew the surprise! </p> <p>I had also bought him one of those recordable storybooks for DD to give him at Christmas, and he found that (even though I hid it!). And he bugged and pestered me about his Christmas gift until he figured that one out too. I told him, from now on, if he figures out a gift he needs to just keep it to himself and pretend to be surprised when he unwraps it. Sigh.
