DH would probably be more protective if I wasnt such an assertive stubborn woman. He yells at me for doing too much these days, that much is true but if there is a bee or spider around Im pretty much the hero lol

Your DH is so cute! DH was super protective of me when I was pregnant. From the moment We found out, I didn't so much as carry a single bag of groceries heavier than a things of yogurt even if that meant he had 6 bags all up his arms with milk, juice, meat, and produce. He would be huffing but day "oh its not heavy!". Lol it was really sweet. I am pretty independent so I still tried to do a lot myself and he would always yell at me. I stood on a chair late 3rd trimester to get a bowl and he looked like his eyes were going to fall our of their sockets. Whoops!

Now that I'm not preggo anymore it's back to norm. He's still somewhat protective, especially those first few weeks when I was still in pain but it seems a lot less compared to when I was preggo. I sort of miss it!

Cute! DH has his protective moments but it is not a constant state. I am very independent and that wouldn't work for me so he knows that. :-)

That's so sweet! DH doesn't really know how to be protective, of me or anyone else, he likes to help around but if someone were to say ... insult me without being so obvious, he wouldn't get the social cues enough to know I was insulted. But I'm crazy protective, not just of him, but with all of my loved ones!

Yep, mine too. I like getting used baby gear off of craigslist, and he always gives me a hard time when I go buy something without him. He seems to think that anyone selling a bouncer or exersaucer must be a serial killer luring in unsuspecting mamas with the promise of gently used baby goods ;)

That's very cute! I am such a baby about stuff, so I can't think of anything I would do that he would need to protect me from myself. Let's just say I can't remember the last time I stood on a chair to do anything... that's what husbands are for!

Well, actually, he gets super jumpy when we are walking near the street. He is always putting his arm out in front of me or squeezing my hand when cars drive by or he thinks I'm going to cross the street in front of traffic. It always makes me a little happy :)

Yep, especially now that I'm pregnant... I can't walk down staircases (public) without his support or he'll open all doors for me so I don't get germs. It's cute, but I told him I can do some things at least until a belly physically disables to in the future...

@runsyellowlites: My husband was extra protective when I was pregnant too! We moved, so I tried to pack and unpack, and he would yell at me so much! He didn't want me to do anything. Shhhh..... but I totally stood on a chair at 9 months pregnant to hang a painting on the wall. He never noticed, he would have killed me!

Yes.. DH is totally like that!

The other day I needed to get a jug that was in the cabinet above the stove. I needed to get up on a chair to get it & before I could even get all the way up DH was there telling me to get down! lol Really though I had no business being up on it now 39 weeks pregnant & having previously hurting myself slipping at 5mths (totally threw my pelvis out of line)

He's always keeping me from doing things that he knows could hurt me... like carrying certain things up the stairs & even trying to carry too many things from an odd position.

We made the plan to plant some flowers in the front yard today. My husband wanted to watch a basketball game so I said that's fine, you take LO and watch tv while I plant. He's currently outside planting all the flowers while listening to the game on the radio, while I'm in the house with LO who's napping (or supposed to be napping). He didn't want me to get a migraine doing all that work. I feel awful that he can't relax and watch his game... but I know he's right. He's always looking out for me to make sure I don't do something stupid to get a migraine. So sweet!
