Most definitely. But he was more supportive of whatever made me happy and sane. We had a lot of breastfeeding issues from the get-go and DH was supportive when we had to supplement and when I had to EP until LO would latch.

Once my LO started BFing exclusively, DH was supportive of my weekly visits to the LC because I was so paranoid my LO was eating too much or too little!

Now at 10 months DH is supportive of however long I decide to breastfeed.

Yes, he is. I haven't had much trouble with BF but in the early days when it was very time consuming he brought me everything I needed when I was tied to the couch. He also runs interference with his mom when she questions BF (she FF).

Yes but he is excited for me to be weaning our last little one. I have been pregnant or nursing for almost four years. Shes stubborn though. She absolutely does not want to wean. It has been a bit of a battle.

At first he was pretty neutral, but once he saw how important it was to me and how I was willing to sacrifice to make it work he became more supportive. That, and reading medical literature put him firmly in the BF camp, which I was very grateful for!

Extremely. He comes from a natural birthing, extended breastfeeding mother just like I do. So he gets it. We're struggling right now because we'd like to conceive again, but I think nursing is preventing it. Neither of us wants me to wean our toddler, but we'd really like to have another. Tough.

He's been very supportive. He knows how important it is to me to give her what I think is the best thing for her. However, he also tells me it's up to me to stop whenever I need to (for mental, emotional, or physical reasons) and was supportive when I decided to supplement with formula to give myself a break (she wouldn't drink pumped milk).

He's super supportive but doesn't like that I have no problem continuing to nurse DS until he is ready to stop. It isn't that he has a certain age he thinks I should stop at, but I know the idea of me nursing DS as a toddler doesn't sit well with him.

Oh yes. He was so happy when things worked out and we didn't have to worry about paying for formula. That being said, he told me that it was up to me, I could breastfeed or I could not breastfeed. Whatever I wanted. When I would be feeding her, though, he always made sure I was comfortable. Drinks, snacks, pillows, he brought me anything I needed in those early months. Still does if I ask!

I think Mr jacks was slightly jealous (maybe that's the wrong word) of the bond I had with our first while breast feeding, so I wouldn't say he was particularly supportive. He certainly looked forward to me weaning.

I wanted to give up in the beginning because of how painful it was and mastitis but my husband encouraged me to keep at it (not in a forceful way) and I'm glad I did. So yeah, he was very supportive. When it came to weaning, he left that up to me to decide when and how.

He wasn't very supportive until I told him I really needed him to be. I think he was more open to switching to formula in the early weeks because he saw me stressed and crying and figured it would be easier switching. I'm glad we stuck through the hard times, though...and over time I think he finally realized that in a lot of cases breastfeeding is actually easier!

He is very supportive! I have gotten the most support from him. It's great, because without him, I'm not sure I would have been as successful. I wanted to give up a few times in the beginning when it was difficult and painful. Now our goal is to make it to a year or more!

Mrs. Bee didn't really need a lot of support, I think? I've tried to never say anything positive or negative about breastfeeding: I don't want to put pressure on her, but also don't want to discourage her.

Overall I've never been too worked up on whether or not breastfeeding happened or not. The one thing that did amaze me though, is how BFing made our trip to the Philippines possible! It was a lot easier to survive all that travel with Olive without needing lots of bottles and pumps. That did make me a bit more pro-bfing! Overall though, I'm mostly a go-with-the-flow type... whatever works for your family, works for me.
