But he was more supportive of whatever made me happy and sane. I haven't had much trouble with BF but in the early days when it was very time consuming he brought me everything I needed when I was tied to the couch. He was so happy when things worked out and we didn't have to worry about paying for formula. That being said, he told me that it was up to me, I could breastfeed or I could not breastfeed. Whatever I wanted. When I would be feeding her, though, he always made sure I was comfortable. Drinks, snacks, pillows, he brought me anything I needed in those early months. So yeah, he was very supportive. I think he was more open to switching to formula in the early weeks because he saw me stressed and crying and figured it would be easier switching. I've tried to never say anything positive or negative about breastfeeding: I don't want to put pressure on her, but also don't want to discourage her.</p> <p>Overall I've never been too worked up on whether or not breastfeeding happened or not. The one thing that did amaze me though, is how BFing made our trip to the Philippines possible! It was a lot easier to survive all that travel with Olive without needing lots of bottles and pumps. That did make me a bit more pro-bfing! Overall though, I'm mostly a go-with-the-flow type... whatever works for your family, works for me.</p> <p>Is your SO supportive of breastfeeding? </p>
