I really like knowing when I'll be off! My schedule changes each semester depending on my class schedule. This semester I am here 3 days/week, but in the spring I will probably only come in 2 days. I'm a lawyer and was a workaholic - depended on the day, but I usually worked 8-6:30/7 and some weekends. Now, I work 4 days a week, 8:30-5. I worked as a restaurant manager in a previous lifetime and it was so hard to get proper sleep / ever make plans for anything. DH works from about approx. same hours, but he does real estate as a 2nd job, so that varies from week to week depending on when he has to show homes and when his clients are available. It was so hard to make plans esp because they didn't do the schedules until the week before. As mgr's we were supposed to have our schedule a month in advance and they never did that. Totally sucked cause it was mandatory to work 3 weekends a month. I hated it!! Monday was my "weekend" and it was DH's day to go back to work. Our couple bffs schedules are somewhat the same but vary week to week (store manager & personal trainer)... I think there's perks to both, but my A-type personality meshes well with the m-f work, wknd schedule. What about you?
