I have had a really rough pregnancy (still sick at 30 weeks), and it honestly didn't really sink in until between 20 and 25 weeks when I *really* got a belly!

I've had such an easy pregnancy so far that it really didn't start to sink in until we had our 20w scan and found out the gender. Now that we know it's a boy and I can feel him kicking, it's starting to get real. . .. very real.

Your post echoes how I feel right now. Just found out I was pregnant after trying for a year and it's a total out of body experience that just does not seem real to me yet at all. I keep testing just to make sure it didn't go away and that I wasn't just imagining it all.

It hasn't sunk in for me yet either (I'm 8 weeks). It will probably seem a little more real in a few days when we go in for our first ultrasound!

It really sunk in for me last week at the 20 week scan. We didn't find out gender but we found out everything looked great with the baby and me and we got to see baby in 3d! It finally looked like a baby instead of a black and white bean. I'm also just now starting to relax a little and let myself believe this baby is heathy and I will hopefully carry to term.

It sank in for me TODAY - when I hit 12 weeks, saw something that actually looked like a baby on the u/s, and got a clean NT scan. Before today, I knew I was "pregnant," but that was really hard to connect to a "baby."

This is soooooo true for me too! I definitely didn't feel any different and didn't FEEL pregnant at all in the beginning! Even when I started feeling nauseous, I didn't feel pregnant. I guess I still don't really FEEL pregnant, although now that I'm having spotting issues, it definitely feels more REAL.

The reality didn't sink in for me until I saw the 20wk ultrasound and found out we were having a boy. Suddenly I could envision a tiny creature running around, having a personality, having his own self. Before then, nothing felt real. I think it's totally normal.

It took me a while and it still doesn't feel real. I'm 11w4d and it's only when I had a doctor's appointment and saw the little bean or heard its heartbeat that it started to sink in. And now that I'm starting to pop a bit and nothing fits! But I was convinced I was going to miscarry because I just couldn't imagine this was actually happening, that I was pregnant and would have a baby in less than a year!

It sunk in for me when they handed me the baby LOL. Remember also that first tri is full of crazy hormonal crap, so even if you think you should feel happy and excited, that may not be how you feel. No reflection on your true feelings.

I'm over 20w and still trying to wrap my head around the idea! Hearing the heartbeat, feeling the baby move, watching my body get larger and larger...none of that has really made it hit me. For all the signs, pregnancy is still mystifying to me.

The first time it was just starting to sink in 2 weeks after BFP and then I started bleeding and was devastated. This time it has been 4 weeks and I am still in disbelief. I thought after my hCG tests that showed normal levels and doubling in 48 hours that I would believe it more, but I still don't at all! Now I am just waiting for my first appointment when I get to hear a heartbeat, maybe that will make me believe?? 4 more weeks to go till then....

It is totally normal!! After I got pregnant, I kept taking pregnancy tests until I was finally able to hear the heartbeat. I didn't feel any different and I wanted to make sure that I was still pregnant.

Today I was talking with a coworker who just told me she is expecting (17 weeks along now) and she said she did the same thing - testing for a few weeks after the first positive test because she didn't feel any different. She kept things quiet for a while because of it too.

My SIL is expecting as well (14 weeks now) and she is just starting to really get excited and tell people because she is finally feeling pregnant.

Wait until your first ultrasound. It becomes so real so fast when you see your LO on the screen!
